Students are looking forward to receive digital textbooks

Radu Jugureanu,
AeL eContent Department Manager
SIVECO Romania

"What we thought a year ago being the school of the future is already the school of the present”, says Radu Jugureanu, AeL eContent Department Manager, SIVECO Romania.

In an interview for Market Watch, a local IT magazine, Radu Jugureanu also declares that high-end technologies such as virtual education, digital educational content, 3D technologies, augmented reality and multi-touch can motivate pupils and students to learn and move focus from the teacher onto the student, in the educational process: "Education should rely on a learning method instead of a teaching one. The school of the future requires quitting the existing teaching methodology."

In the last 10 years, our company has been developing digital educational content for Romanian schools, as well as for schools in Malta, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Republic of Moldova, United Arab Emirates. “Currently, we are working on digital textbooks, all relying on a trans-disciplinary approach. I believe that this is the direction we need to follow: the student must understand why he is studying mathematics and how can it be helpful in a human relationship", declares Radu Jugureanu.
