About the Black Sea Terminal

Black Sea Terminal is a maritime terminal and harbor dedicated to the oil and oil products transport, owned by SOCAR and build in Georgia according to the highest international standards.

The Terminal is endowed with a modern infrastructure, while the integrated management system is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001. The two unloading wharfs with 4 lines each allow the simultaneous unloading of 168 rail tankers (cisterns). The battery of tanks having a total capacity amounting to 320,000 cubic metres is composed of 16 tanks. Two loading berths have been built in the port that can hosts oil tankers with a tonnage between 40,000 and 100,000 TDW. The uploading speed of oil tankers varies between 8,000 and 12,000 cubic metres per hour.

Once a new compound dedicated to the propylene transport was opened in June 2012, the terminal’s importance has grown up to international level.

The oil terminal in Kulevi and the Port represent one of the alternatives for oil and oil products’ transport under safety conditions.
