SIVECO Romania enters the finals of the international competition, European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2013, with a record number of nominations for 5 successful implementations of its e Learning, EAS and eBanking solutions.

"This year edition attracted more than double the number of entries of previous years with companies from 24 countries making submissions. The quality of entries was much higher as well, proving the European IT specialists’ high level of creativity and professionalism.”, John Chapman, Editorial Director if IT Europa, stated.

“We are extremely honoured to have made the finals once again this year, together with top international IT companies. This year we are very pleased that no less than 5 of our projects have been selected for 5 distinct categories, based on extremely strict criteria. They are complex nation-wide projects (the eLearning project in Kazakhstan) or have been implemented for large organizations (the eAgriculture project for the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fishery). Out of the 5 projects, 2 are implemented at international level. I believe it’s not often that a company headquartered in Romania receives the record nominations in the finals, out of 64 finalist companies.” Irina Socol, President and CEO SIVECO Romania.

The eLearning solutions developed by SIVECO received two nominations in the competition finals: the solution for introducing IT into the educational system in Kazakhstan and one of the most innovative approach in eLearning – the project for development and implementation of educational content for interactive multi-touch systems.

The project for introducing IT into the educational system in Kazakhstan has been selected at Independent Software Vendor – Government solution category, being already implemented in over 530 schools, gymnasia, high-schools and vocational schools in Kazakhstan. The project is developed in partnership with the National Centre of Informatization (NCI), for the Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan.

The Multi-touch project was selected within ISV - Software Innovation Solution of the Year category. This project was developed during 2009 – 2012 for the Ministry of National Education. It represents a premiere for Romania and has consisted in the development and implementation of learning applications for multi-touch technologies, as well as in the endowment with interactive multi-touch systems of 8 high-schools laboratories.

At the Solution provider - Vertical Solution of the year category, the jury selected the information system developed for the National Bank in Moldova. This had as main objective the development of a new financial reporting model from commercial banks towards the central bank, which is based on XBRL format, being thus aligned to the European standards in the area.

SIVECO was also designated a finalist in the ISV - ERP Solution category. The implementation of the integrated information system, SIVECO Applications, which ranks in the top of the ERP solutions dedicated to utility companies, was appreciated by the jury for the manner in which it contributed to making ACET Suceava activities more efficient and to building strong relationships between the company and its final customers. ACET Suceava is the regional operator that manages the water supply and sewage public services in 1 headquarter and 7 agencies and also the exploitation of related water supply and sewage public systems.

At the Solution Provider - Government Solution of the Year category, a solution with major impact on the Romanian economy was designated as Finalist: the IT nation-wide system, implemented for the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fishery. The system for Processing Requests for Rural Development was appreciated by the jury for supporting the diversification of the economic activities and increase of quality of life in the rural areas, according to EU norms.
