The University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Carol Davila" in Bucharest, as Applicant and the College of Pharmacists in Romania, together with SIVECO Romania as partners, announces the launch of the project "Increasing efficiency of the pharmacists' activity through training in the new technologies, including ITC".

The project has an implementation period of 30 months (01.07.2010 - 31.12.2012), and a total value 6,193,435 lei.

The overall project objective is increasing the level of adaptability of pharmacists in the context of introducing the new technologies, including TIC, and of the new forms of management into their activity.

Within the project are organized three training programs: a program of sanitary management dedicated to pharmacies managers, a program of using ITC at the workplace for pharmacists and a program dedicated to pharmacists related to implementing the new technologies in the pharmaceutical sector.

The programs are provided free of charge, due to the co-funding provided by the EUROPEAN SOCIAL FUND.

By implementing this project is promoted increasing the pharmacists abilities to work with poisonous or dangerous substances, increasing the degree of adaptability for pharmacies managers in the field of sanitary (health) management and a better knowledge of the outcomes that decentralization of the health system will have over the pharmaceutical field, increasing the degree of adaptability to the new technologies, including ITC, and promoting the equal opportunities principle and of non-discrimination at the workplace.
