Bucharest, the 10th of September 2013

The project “Competence, professionalism and European dimension by integrating IT&C in the educational process” funded by the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007 - 2013, Priority Axis 1. - “Education and professional training supporting  economical growth and the society’s development bassed on knowledge”, Key Area of Intervention 1.3. - “Developing human resources in education and professional training” is coming to an end. 

In the press conference held today, the 10th of September 2013, at the Belvedere Hotel in Botosani, were presented the activities and the results, as well as the project team’s objectives to be achieved during the period of sustainability.

The project, whose beneficiary is Botosani County School Inspectorate, debuted in October 2010 and had as an overall objective teachers’ skills development through a permanent training program in order to empower teachers’ sustainable curriculum using digital tools and improving human capital’s qualification in education.

In the teachers’ training and certification sessions, there were enrolled 6,080 teachers of whom over 5,400 teachers have participated in the training courses and have been certified.

The four training programs were developed by S.C. SIVECO Romania S.A. and “Danubius” University of Galati, as project partners.

Training programs were printed in 5,600 copies and distributed to course participants and trainers.

The courses have been digitized in multimedia format and published on the project’s educational platform.

The visibility, transparency, information and promotion of this project were permanently provided through the portal http://tic.isjbotosani.ro  and the website http://isjbotosani.ro/tic/ made during the project.

"We are proud this project ends with very good results, as confirmed by overcoming the indicators established at the beginning of the three years of implementation. We hope that on the long term, this project will make a real improvement in the quality of education through the correlation of teachers’ training with the needs and interests of students, and also, will provide a better integration of IT&C resources in the educational activities in the classroom said professor  Mihaela Huncă, Project Manager, Botosani County School Inspectorate.
