A record number of nominations for SIVECO Romania in the grand finals of the European IT & Software Excellence Awards 2014

In the finals, there are solutions registered by 80 companies from 16 countries. SIVECO competes with three projects nominated in four categories

Romanian IT is the best business card that our country presents to the world during this period. Three successful national projects developed in 2013 by SIVECO alongside its partners and beneficiaries are among the finalists of European IT & Software Excellence Awards international competition in four different categories: Enterprise Solution of the Year, Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year, Government/Utilities Solution and Information & Document Management.

European IT & Software Excellence Awards is one of the most popular European competitions which selects and rewards each year the producers and software vendors for outstanding performance and dedication in the development and delivery of software products. The jury recognizes good practices and considers realistic solutions provided to the clients, be they public or private companies, and rewards companies that deliver - through contract - excellence.

Romanian electronic prescription, the best system in Europe

Electronic prescription IT system, implemented at the National Health Insurance House (CNAS), has been declared finalist on two categories: Enterprise Solution of the Year and Public Sector and Utilities Solution of the Year.

The IT solution, designed and implemented based on a a tender for CNAS by a joint team composed of SIVECO and HP Romania, makes the medical prescription act more efficient and transparent. For doctors, it reduces the risk of error inherent in handwritten prescriptions. Simultaneously, it increases patient confidence in the healthcare system and significantly reduces the waiting period for prescriptions issuance linked to both doctor and pharmacies. Electronics prescription is a project funded through Sectorial Operational Program "Increase of Economic Competitiveness", co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund "Investing in your future".

eLearning platform for the Romanian judiciary system employees

Finalist in the European IT Excellence Awards is also eLearning IT system implemented for the Ministry of Justice and the judicial system from Romania. It was nominated for Government/ Utilities Solution category. The project "eLearning platform for the Ministry of Justice and the judiciary system from Romania" was developed entirely with Romanian know-how and technology and was financed from the European Regional Development Fund through the Sectorial Operational Program “Increase of Economic Competitiveness".

The IT solution developed within the project includes an educational portal, an eLearning AeL platform and 50 interactive courses modules that streamline the training process of the employees of the Ministry of Justice on central and local levels.

The courses contribute to an easier assimilation of information and generate additional motivation for judicial system employees for professional development continuance. At the same time, the platform contributes at the increase of transparency by providing access to information disseminated by the ministry and its’ subordinate institutions for the public.

In support of those in search of an employment contract abroad

Also GREEN project (efficient resource management to improve the quality of services provided to individuals looking for a job and saving natural resources) has qualified among the finalists on Information & Document Management category. GREEN uses SIVADOC, an IT system for document management created by SIVECO Romania. The project was implemented at the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM), currently being used nationally in all 48 ANOFM agencies.

SIVADOC is a powerful IT system that enables centralized management of documents. From the point of view of its users, the performance is translated into: very fast access to updated information regarding the documents, setting deadlines depending on the type of documents, receiving alerts on ongoing activities. For documents’ archiving, the system allows document archive scanning and organizing, including barcodes usage.

A prestigious competition

For the Grand Final, which will take place in London on March 26, SIVECO Romania competes with 80 other companies from 16 European countries.

SIVECO imposed in previous years in the competition and received awards for:

  • The IT system implemented at the Payments Agency for Rural Development and Fisheries
  • The IT project developed by SIVECO for the National Bank of Moldova
  • The integrated IT system - SIVECO Applications implemented at ACET Suceava
  • SIVADOC solution implemented at the Chisinau City Hall
  • The integrated IT system from the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve
  • The project "Supporting the special education system through dedicated educational portal" implemented at the Ministry of National Education
  • The IT system from the Agency for Payments and Intervention for Agriculture
  • The IT Based Educational System (SEI) implemented at the National Ministry of Education.
