The IT solution developed at the National Customs Authority has entered the competition of the best international projects

Bucharest, 27th September 2011 - The eCustoms solution implemented by SIVECO Romania within the National Customs Authority (ANV) has entered the final of the international competition organized annually by the International Project Management Association (IPMA).

The NCTS solution (New Computerized Transit System) is developed at the level of the 39 customs offices, of the 42 County Directions and of the Bucharest Municipality Office for Excises and Customs Operations, of the 8 Regional Directions for Excises and Customs Operations and of Headquarters.

The implementation of the eCustoms solution by SIVECO Romania meets the requirements of the European Commission.

The IT system dedicated to customs consists in a suite of inter-operable, integrated and accessible systems helping the electronic data exchange within the basic customs processes.

By means of this IT - based solution, over 10,000 electronic documents are processed on a daily basis, and over 1,000,000 electronic documents are annually stored in the database, while the average reply time to a data /information request has reduced to a few seconds.

Our solution increases the efficiency of the transit procedures, accelerates and secures the operations run within the transit procedures, improves communication between the customs administrations and prevents customs fraud", has stated Dan Tuhar, Manager of eCustoms department within SIVECO Romania.

SIVECO Romania develops successfully the solution implemented at ANV and at the customs authority in Turkey and Macedonia, thus ensuring the adjustment of the customs transit to the standards and requirements of the European Union.
