The project is funded from the European Social Fund, through the Sectorial Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007-2013.

The project general objective is increasing the women's employment opportunities and equal opportunities for employment by raising awareness on the equal opportunities principle at the level of private enterprises. On the long term, the project will contribute to diminishing social stereotypes regarding woman's role at the work place and will determine non-discriminating policies in recruiting, employing and further development of women's career.

Within the project, a campaign for information and raising awareness on gender equality and management of diversity takes place in enterprises, implemented by SIVECO Romania and Mediafax, a campaign constantly reflected also within the project portal www.carierepentrufemei.ro.

The Guide regarding integration of equal opportunities into the policies of enterprises includes the legal analyses, work instruments, examples of good practices developed at national and international level for ensuring equal opportunities. The Guide is also an instrument for the human resources departments within the Romanian companies in ensuring equal opportunities.

The guide is published in 5,000 copies, being distributed to enterprises, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, to the social partners in each region.

The guide includes a chapter regarding organizing the Equal Opportunities Committees in companies.

The guide content can also be accessed in multimedia format, including interactive digital lessons developed by SIVECO Romania, in order to be easier for practical use by the Human resources managers. The guide digital format is available on the project portal, www.carierepentrufemei.ro.

The portal www.carierepentrufemei.ro includes the guide in digital format, resources regarding management of diversity and equal opportunities, and the other products of the information campaigns in the project.
