Microsoft Central Eastern Europe announces DIMSOFT and SIVECO Romania as winners of 2010 "Partner of the Year" Award
Partners of Microsoft Romania are appreciated at global level for their excellence in innovation, quality of services delivered to customers and their business growth strategy
Bucharest, 29th June 2010 - Microsoft recognizes the excellence of its partners in Central and Eastern Europe and has the pleasure to announce:
• DIMSOFT as winner at the Large Account Reseller category, for the proposal "Integrated approach of technology offers"
• SIVECO Romania as winner at the Citizenship category, for the proposal "Knowledge based Economy"
These awards honor Microsoft Registered, Microsoft Certified and Microsoft Gold Certified Partners that have supplied exemplary solutions to their customers during the past year. The winners have been selected from over 500 proposals received from the partners network in the region and will be publicly recognized during the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference 2010, the annual event dedicated to partners in the industry, to be held July 11 - 15 in Washington D.C.
The Award winners have been selected by Microsoft from a group of companies nominated based on their dedication in using Microsoft technologies for delivering solutions adapted to customers' needs.

With over 250,000 partners at EMEA level, the dynamic ecosystem of Microsoft represents some two thirds from the IT industry in the region. Worldwide Partner Conference is meant to illustrate examples of best practices, to link partners and local executives and, last but not least, to help them develop reliable solutions for the customers using technologies such as Windows 7. The companies from the Microsoft ecosystem in CEE have some 211,000 employees, while the organizations owning IT resources hire an additional 392,000 IT professionals working with Microsoft software or with products and services based on Microsoft technologies. Together, these employees represent 50% of the IT employees in 2009 and generate 59% of the IT related taxes in the region.
The Microsoft Awards recognize innovation, added business values and partners' results and are awarded for 13 categories, while the winners represent top performers from the IT industry in the Central and Eastern European region.
