By awarding the teams that effectively participate to the creation of these innovative projects, IPMA aims to give an example regarding management excellence.

The international jury of IMPA, composed of professionals with worldwide reputation in Project Management, has nominated as finalists in 2007 world level achievements. The most important projects worldwide nominated by IPMA come from China (3), Great Britain (1), Poland (1) and Romania (1).

The rigor of implementation and the success obtained in the field of introducing IT into the Romanian Education System have impressed the IPMA jury, which recommends the SEI project - The IT based Education System, realized by SIVECO Romania and the Ministry of Education, Research and Youth in Romania, as one of the most important achievements in the field of project management.

The SEI project started in 2001, having as main objective the support of the teaching - learning process in the pre-university education system, with help of IT system. Within the project, over 75,000 teachers have been trained, while 3 million pupils from over 4,800 schools and high schools in Romania benefit from 1,700 multimedia lessons covering 14 disciplines.

The small number of projects selected underlines once more the exceptional value of SEI - the national program for introducing IT into the Romanian pre-university education, thus fully confirming the quality of project management specialist of SIVECO Romania. Becoming a finalist represents an outstanding performance given the maximum competitiveness, as SIVECO Romania has entered the exclusive club of the companies developing world level projects with excellent management.

“Nominating the SEI project for the IPMA awards is a foremost honor for us.  After the moment in 2005, when the lessons developed by us ranked first at the World Summit Award in Tunis, and SEI was repeatedly appreciated as a reference eGovernment project in Europe, the status of finalists at the IPMA Awards brings one more recognition of the capabilities of the SIVECO Romania specialists to develop, implement and optimize educational programs competitive at international level. We consider we have the best project managers in the world for this kind of projects”, said Irina Socol, General Manager of SIVECO Romania.
