The multi-touch improve collaboration between pupils and teachers

Over 200 education specialists came together for two days in Slovakia, to discuss the advantages of the modern instruments used in education

Bucharest, 07 November 2011 - In the period of 27-28 October took place in Slovakia the IX edition of the International ICETA Conference ICETA (International Conference on Emerging eLearning Technologies and Applications- and the VIII edition of the competition "eLearning in Praxis".

Sponsor of this event, SIVECO Romania was represented by Radu Jugureanu, Manager of the Ael Content Department. His speech aimed at presenting the outstanding results obtained by introducing the multi-touch technology in the class.

"Our latest innovations consist in introducing education content on the multi-touch systems, 3D content and augmented reality in the education process. These tools prove to be a real success, as they mix all the elements leading to an efficient learning", has said Radu Jugureanu.

Replacing the classical displays, the multi-touch systems can be successfully used in any field, especially in education. The purpose of these systems is to improve the collaboration between pupils and teachers, to engage pupils in group activities, to motivate them to experiment, making the transition from the learning based on memorizing to learning based on discovery and building knowledge.

The conference was attended by over 200 education specialists, ministers, IT managers, managers and researchers. They were debating on the development of learning tools with major impact on increasing education?s quality and the development of the new skills required by the labor market.

The event has been organized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sports of the Slovak Republic and by the Technical University in Kosice, in collaboration with the American Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia.
