SIVECO Romania opens a new representative office in Ankara, Turkey

This is the third representative office opened by the company in Asia, marking the extension of its commercial activities in this geographic area

After opening offices in Brussels, Belgium, Dubai, United Arab Emirates and the one in Almaty, Kazakhstan, SIVECO Romania inaugurated a new subsidiary in Ankara, Turkey, in the precinct of Armada Business Centre. Marian Murguleţ, General Manager, acts as SIVECO representative in Ankara.

Opening of the new subsidiary office in Turkey is determined by intensifying the company’s commercial activities in this country. The first major contract of SIVECO in Turkey, the one for the development and implementation of NCTS system - New Computerized Transit System – at the National Customs Authority in Turkey, was launched in 2009. The IT system dedicated to customs authorities consists in a range of interoperable, integrated and accessible applications, facilitating the electronic data exchange within the basic customs processes. This helps to increasing the efficiency of transit procedures, to fraud prevention and detection, accelerating and securing the operations developed within a transit procedure, improving communication and coordination between the customs administrations.

In 2012, International Project Management Association (IPMA), one of the most revered authorities in project management, has designated SIVECO Romania as Finalist in the category “Medium- Sized Projects” for the eCustoms solution developed at the National Customs Authority in Turkey.

"SIVECO is already present in Turkey with the eCustoms solution deployed at the National Customs Authority, yet we intend to launch new eGoverment projects by implementing solutions of eLearning, eAgriculture, eHealth, Customized Application Development, and Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP). The projects will be implemented in collaboration with important local partners, while the subsidiary’s activities will involve both Romanian employees, and local resources, employed on a project basis. The commercial interest of global technology providers for education projects in Turkey is noteworthy, as Turkey is the country having one of the most consistent IT investments focused on education, worldwide", says Marian Murguleţ, General Manager SIVECO Turkey.

For over two decades, SIVECO develops complex projects of eLearning, eHealth, eCustoms and Credit Bureau in the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Republic of Moldova, Bulgaria, Kazakhstan, Algeria, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, Macedonia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman, Morocco, Belgium, Luxembourg and Belarus.

Apart from their complexity and difficulty, the projects developed for public institutions in Romania such as the Ministry of National Education, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, and Ministry for Information Society, Ministry of Labor, Family, Social Protection and Elderly, National Customs Authority, Credit Bureau and General Inspectorate for Romanian Police have a major social impact.

To these one should add the international prestige gained by the company, numerous international recognitions provided by well-known organizations such as World Summit Award, International Project Management Association, European Software Excellence Awards, European Business Awards, IT Excellence Awards, eLearning Awards, contributing to strengthening the fame of Romanian IT specialists worldwide.
