Romanian Society of Pneumology, as applicant, and Prof. Dr. "Marius Nasta" Pneumoftiziology Institute (For Tuberculosis study) and SIVECO Romania SA, as partners within the strategic project "Quality in pneumology medical services through life long professional training and organizational flexibility" announces the start of the sub-activity 1.2: Generating an integrated medium term strategy regarding the specific management of pneumology institutes, hospitals and wards.

The overall project objective is increasing the degree of adaptability and skills for the target group (personnel and managers from the health sector) through identifying and promoting of efficient managerial models in the context of decentralizing and by increasing the capacity of understanding and operation with the new technologies used in the pneumology field.

The project is addressed to a group of 50 managers of institutes, hospitals and pneumology wards, aiming at increasing the increasing the abilities of health care management through access to innovative professional training via eLearning type of instruments. Also, the project if targeted to 800 physicians from the pneumology field, to get a better adaptability on the labor market by participating in 8 training programs in the field and an ITC introductory program.

In the first 12 months of the project will be implemented activity no. 1: "Identifying new organizational forms in the decentralization of the healthcare system". During the first part of this activity, already completed, was addressed the analysis (including the legislative one) of changes triggered by the decentralization of the public health system in the healthcare management of institutions, hospitals and pneumology wards. In parallel, efforts were made for carrying out the web portal, with two sections for activities: an informative section, where the experts will post materials, results and reports regarding the proposed topic, and an interactive, forum section, where the interested parties will be able to discuss and evaluate various aspects of the proposed topics, including published informative materials. In the last 5 months of the first activity will be organized a series of round tables with the managers of hospitals, local authorities that will take over for coordination the hospitals and other interested factors, in order to elaborate and improve the strategy proposed by project's experts.

The two institutions in the field will carry out the studies set in the project the content of the 9 training programs in the field, and will select the courses participants and will support the training activity.

SIVECO Romania will carry out the project's portal, the courses in multimedia format and the professional training programs for introduction into IT&C. The training platform will be provided free of charge for continuous and final licensing.

The professional training programs will be certified by CNFPA, while the certificates will be recognized at national level.

The project was launched on July 1st, 2010, with 36 months period of implementation (1st July 2010 - 30th of June 2013) and a total value worth 5,894,127 lei, out of which 5,772,893 lei represent non-reimbursable funding.

The project "Quality in pneumology medical services through life long professional training and organizational flexibility" is running under the Sectorial Operational Program Human Resources Development 2007 - 2013 - "Invest in people!".
