The system will allow more efficient operations, while the economic agents will benefit the most

SIVECO Romania has developed for the Republic of Macedonia Customs Administration the systems "Integrated Tariff Environment - ITE" (TARIC and the systems relative to Tariff (COTA2, Surveillance 2, EBTI3) with the aim of ensuring the uniform application of the Community policies; this way, the economic agents shall have a clear assessment of the measures they have to apply in the transactions of goods import or export.

The custom system of the Republic of Macedonia was aligned with the European Union tariff systems, while all national economic agents can access information on-line. Access to legislation and documents’ identification are also facilitated.

“Integrated Tariff Environment” is a business concept grouping several IT – based applications for the exchange of information between the European Commission and the EU Member States. TARIC is a database indicating the tariff and non-tariff measures applicable to goods, when these are  imported on the customs territory of the European Union or, as appropriate, when these are exported to third party countries”, stated Dan Tuhar, eCustoms Line of Business Director, SIVECO Romania.

The project carried out by SIVECO Romania in partnership with BULL Romania aims at strengthening the operational capacity of the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia, in conformity to the European Union standards, and ensuring the compatibility and full interoperability of the customs information systems with the ones used in EU.

"Integrated Tariff Environment - ITE", implemented at the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia was funded through the National Assistance Program for transition and institutions strengthening, provided to countries involved in the accession process to the European Union.

The eCustoms solutions developed by SIVECO Romania have also been implemented at the National Customs Authority in Romania and at the Customs Administration in Turkey.
