The objective of MASIM project consists in providing support for decision making in crises, at different hierarchical levels

SIVECO Romania is partner in the MASIM research project - „Airborne multi- agent system with portable land station for the information management”, coordinated by "Henri Coandă" Air Force Academy, Braşov.

The project is aimed at collecting, refining, managing and sharing the spatial information from areas of interest with help of a multi-agent system of miniature airborne platforms, coordinated through a portable land station.

MASIM provides a support solution for decision making and multi-agent coordination in real time, a modular, flexible and scalable solution, easy to use by the managers in crisis from different hierarchical levels.

The innovative technology used is based on the significant progresses accumulated in developing the autopilots and board sensors, which can be miniature at outstanding performance levels and can successfully replace the classical systems (aircrafts or UAVs).

MASIM allows for accomplishing new missions, specific to crowded dangerous zones, where classical means are not enough high performing or have prohibitive costs.

At the same time, MASIM meets the final users’ current requirements referring to the efficient operation of this type of platform by operators with a medium level of training, at reduced costs.

SIVECO Romania’s participation within the project reflects the company’s experience in elaborating IT platforms as well as portal solutions.

At the same time, this project reflects SIVECO’s interest in extending the expertise in developing experimental models in the field of innovative materials, processes and solutions.

Thus, the IT solution proposed within the project envisages elaborating an experimental model of IT platform type, implementation and optimizing a surveillance area and of the network of equipments necessary in the flight over action

The activity developed within the MASIM project has been presented at numerous international events:

  • International conference of education, research and innovation (ICERI2016), in Seville,  Spain, 14-16 November 2016;
  • International conference for technology, education and development (INTED 2017), Valencia, Spain, 6-8 March 2017;
  • International session for scientific papers „Scientific Research and Education in the Air Force-AFASES 2017”, organized in partnership with the Armed Forces Academy „General MK. R. Stefanik” in Liptovsky Mikulas from Slovakia, 25-27 May 2017
  • International conference for education and new learning technologies, Barcelona, Spain, 3-5 July 2017.
