SIVECO Romania and Sword Technologies Luxembourg have signed two contracts with the European Union Publication Office

Bucharest, 13th of December 2011 - SIVECO Romania is once more selected to play a major role in providing IT services for the institutions of the European Union, thus restating its strong position in the European software industry.

The Consortium formed by Sword Technologies Luxembourg and SIVECO Romania will provide to the Publication Office of the European Union software development and maintenance services for various IT applications. The contracts are concluded for a period of four years.

The first contract, namely "Support and specialized administrative applications", covers the development, improvements and maintenance of new and existing applications. A second contract concerns support and customization of the Oracle Financials systems of the Publications Office.

The 2 lots had been estimated to cover services totaling 1.9 million Euros.

The Publications Office of the European Union publishes daily the Official Journal of the European Union in 23 languages; it is also mandated to publish the General Report on the Activities of the European Union and plays a key role in the communication of EU initiatives and activities. As an inter-institutional service in charge with publishing for the European Institutions and other bodies of the European Union, the Publications Office has the task to offer the highest-quality service to its customers, and requires highest-quality tools in order to do so.

In order to carry out these contracts, SIVECO Romania will capitalize on its 20 years of experience in projects implemented in the fields of eGovernment and eBusiness, education, health and customs services, for the public and private organizations on 3 continents, in countries like Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, USA, Cyprus, United Arab Emirates, Republic of Moldova, Morocco, Azerbaijan, Lebanon, Bulgaria and Turkey.
