SIVECO Romania attends the World Customs Association Forum

The eCustoms solution presented at the company's stand has been implemented in Turkey and Romania

Bucharest, 5th of October 2010 - Between 5th to 8th October 2010, takes place in Istanbul the Forum of th World Customs Organization where SIVECO Romania is present as supplier of eCustoms solutions for the Customs Administrations in Turkey and Romania.

The event is attended by managers of the customs administrations worldwide, governmental representatives, suppliers of IT services, academicians and economists. These will discuss critical aspects related to the partnership and public-private clolaboration in the modernization of the customs system at world level.

As top supplier in the field of eCustoms solutions, SIVECO Romania will present during the event its experience and expertise in the customs sector.

The eCustoms solutions has been implemented by SIVECO Romania within the project for the National Customs Authority in Romania, at the level of the 39 customs offices, of the 42 County Departments and of the Bucharest Municipality respectively, for Excises and Customs Operations, of the 8 Regional Directions for Excises and Customs Operations and of HQs.

Also, within the consortium of companies formed of STM Savunma Teknolojileri Mühendislik ve Ticaret A.S., KoçSistem Information Communication Services Inc. and KPMG Turkey, SIVECO Romania has participated in the successful implementation of the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) in Turkey.

NCTS is a Trans-European management and control system of the transit operations for the goods transported by road.

Based on the use of advanced IT systems and on electronic data processing, this guarantees a modern management modern, more efficient than the traditional one, based on hard copy documents.

By implementing NCTS within the Customs Administration in Turkey and the National Customs Authority in Romania have been achieved the main objectives related to increasing the efficiency of transit procedures, improving the fraud prevention and detection, accelerating and securing the operations developed within the transit procedure, improving communication between customs administrations, on one hand, and between the customs administrations and economic operators, on the other hand.
