SIVECO Romania is "Champion in business!"

Bucharest, 30 November 2011 - SIVECO Romania has been awarded for the consistent promotion of innovation and for the courage to develop large scale national and international projects!

Within the event "European Day of Competition and Competitiveness in Romania", developed under the high patronage of the European Union Presidency, the largest Romanian software house has received the title of ?Romanian Champion in Business? for the year 2011.

The diploma and trophy of this edition have been handed out to professor Traian C. Ionescu, councilor of the president of SIVECO Romania.

"The award can be seen as a logical consequence of SIVECO Romania's endeavor, that despite the well known economic conditions, to magnify its activity on the internal an international market, to create numerous jobs, to increase the volume of business and to place up front its concern for a high degree of competitiveness. It is noteworthy the substance participation of SIVECO Romania in the activity of the National Council for Competitiveness (CoNaCo), a body meant to offer innovative and viable solutions in order that a Romania of 2020 to be at the heart of creativity and competitiveness in UE, to provide and maintain attractive living conditions for everyone", says prof. Traian Ionescu.

For almost 20 years, SIVECO Romania is developing large scale, complex projects having a significant impact on introducing IT into the society: the educational project SEI, the IT project developed at the Payments and Intervention Agency for Agriculture, the project of the Unique Integrated Information System at the National health Insurance House, recently awarded in the competition of the best projects in the world organized by International Project Management Association, the project "New Computerized Transit System" developed at the National Customs Authority, considered as the best project worldwide during the same competition, the project SIVABON developed at the Romanian Credit Bureau. To these milestones projects are added the ones developed for the European Commission - portal CORDIS, European Aviation Safety Agency, the portal Dolceta, the Jaspers program, Eurostat - but also for public organizations in Morocco, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Republic of Moldova and Cyprus.

The European Day of Competition and Competitiveness in Romania is an annual event meant to evaluate the relationship between competition and competitiveness after Romania's accession to the European Union and its integration into the European Single Market. The event is organized by the Central European Platform for a Loyal and Transparent Competition (CEFTAC).
