SIVECO Romania has joined the European Development Platform initiative

The organization encourages the absorption of European funds and the development of projects for EU

Bucharest, 20th of September 2010 - The main objectives of the European Development Platform (EDP), an initiative recently launched in Brussels during several reference events, are encouraging the absorption of the European funds as well as of the initiatives that can be turned into viable projects, useful to citizens.

The European Development Platform is an initiative of the Human Valence Foundation and brings together Romanian companies, both public and private from all economy sectors, representatives of the political milieu, from the civil society and diplomacy, involved in developing projects for the European Union.

The EDP opening event has included the Conference "Europe 2020: New resources for economic growth and development".

"SIVECO Romania is an active player on the European Union's market, in both member or candidate states, as well as a partner of the European Commission in a series of numerous projects. We provide direct IT services for organizations like the European Union Publication Office (the research portal CORDIS), for Eurostat (the EU Office for Statistics), EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency), we develop research projects within the research and technological development programs FP 6 and FP7, as well as projects financed through the structural instruments, Phare and IPA respectively", has stated Stefan Morcov, deputy Vice-president SIVECO Romania.

SIVECO Romania is playing its role as active participant in the European initiatives. Since 2005, the company is a member of ISTAG, consultative body to the European Commission for defining a general strategy for fulfilling the information society- related priorities, within the European research program, and it is also a member of the European Network for Software and Services NESSI - one of the most important bodies in the field of IT services science, and is currently involved in running European research projects - ACGT, ALIS, LD CAST, Eurocancercoms etc.
