SIVECO Romania - Quality Excellency in Software

Bucharest, 18th November 2002 - "BIZ Days", a tradeshow that took place between 11th - 14th November 2002 at the Conference Hall of World Trade Center Bucharest, offered SIVECO Romania another chance to express its clear option in favour of the "quality excellency in software".

During a press conference and an event addressed to the company's clients and possible clients, several SIVECO representatives and important guests who benefited from the solutions provided by SIVECO Applications, discussed about the advantages of collaborating with a company which rigorously conforms to the demands of a quality system and of using SIVECO Applications Integrated System.

The event took place in the same time with the official opening in Romania of the AFAQ ASCERT subsidiary. AFAQ ASCERT is ranked among the most prestigious five international certification organizations; that's why, the "birth" of its branch in Romania is an extraordinary news, taking into account the fact that the organization has only two other offices in Europe, in Italy and Germany.

AFAQ ASCERT is the certification group which certified, in 1999, SIVECO Romania, according to ISO 9001:1994 standard and audited it, in this respect, every year. Today, a modern company means a company whose processes are controlled and that's one of the reasons why SIVECO Romania expressed its option, in 2002, for a re-certification in accordance with the new version - ISO 9001:2000.

"By certifying its quality system, an organization becomes more reliable for its clients, business partners, for the whole society and it appears as a guarantee that the company functions according to international regulations acknowledged all over the world", declared Gabriela Anghelescu, General Manager of the new-born AFAQ ASCERT Romania subsidiary. "The novelty brought about by the 2000 version of the ISO9001 standard is the fact that it approaches the processes themselves and their measurement in a more rigourous manner, which makes even more reliable the certification of the quality management system at SIVECO Romania."

The new version extends the certification area of SIVECO Romania to other fields of activity, such as: design, ERP product development and maintenance, decision assistance systems, multi-media products, software tools for business applications development, IT services, as well as e-Business, e-Commerce and e-Learning.

"SIVECO fully deserted this certificate. Although several companies in our country aspire to this acknowledgement, AFAQ ASCERT INTERNATIONAL certified only four companies in Romania, and SIVECO is one of them", Anghelescu emphasized.

The profiles presented by Aurora Crusti, SVECO Applications Department Manager and Sorin Dimofte, Implementation and Technical Support Department Manager, who referred to the observation of the quality standards when developing and implementing SIVECO Applications, also stood under the sign of quality.

But the most reliable arguments come from clients' testimonials - and SIVECO's number of clients rises at over 120 local organizations and 1000 international ones.

Referring to his collaboration with SIVECO Romania, Ion Fota, Financial Manager at SC Termoficare 2000 Piteşti, assessed that acquiring SIVECO Integrated Package components contributed improved the company's activity.

>"We had a great collaboration with SIVECO and we really hope it will continue. We also want to acquire other SIVECO Applications modules, now that our activity became so diverse ", Fota declared.
