SIVECO Romania will develop the "Integrated Tariff Environment - ITE" systems of the European Community with the aim to bring the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia closer to the EU market and the Customs Union

SIVECO Romania will develop the „Integrated Tariff Environment - ITE” systems of the European Community (TARIC and the systems related to Tariff (COTA2, Surveillance 2, EBTI3)) for the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia, within a project taking place during 2012 - 2014. This is part of the National Program for assisting transition and institutions’ strengthening, provided to the countries engaged in the EU accession process.

TARIC is a database indicating the tariff and non-tariff related measures applicable to goods, when these goods are imported on the customs territory of the European Union, or, as appropriate, when they are exported to third countries.

The project carried out by SIVECO Romania in partnership with BULL Romania aims at strengthening the operational capacity of the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia, in conformity with the European Union standards, and at ensuring the full compatibility and interoperability of the customs information system with the ones used by EU.

“Through the ITE project developed by our specialists for the Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia, we ensure the uniform application of Community policies, so that the economic agents get a clear evaluation of the measures they have to apply in goods import or export transactions”, stated Dan Tuhar, eCustoms Line of Business Manager, SIVECO Romania.

The customs system in the Republic of Macedonia benefits from a computerized system for the transit operations management (New Computerized Transit System - NCTS) carried out by SIVECO within a project launched in February 2011.

The Customs Administration in the Republic of Macedonia is the third beneficiary of the eCustoms solution implemented by SIVECO Romania, after the National Customs Authority in Romania and the Customs Administration in Turkey.
