Technical support and software installation bring maximum added value for beneficiaries.

Bucharest, September 7th, 2009 - - Market analysts consider that the main future drivers behind IT services spending in Romania over the five-year forecast will be threefold: increased spending in the SME segment driven by a shift from the acquisition of basic infrastructure to more complex services; the Romanian government's engagement to finalize large scale IT infrastructure projects through European Union (EU) structural funding; and, the need for Romanian companies to cope and align with EU requirements.

According to the latest IDC study, the IT services market in Romania totaled $472.13 million, representing year-on-year growth of 30% in U.S. dollar terms. Measured in local currency, the market expanded 34.8% from the previous year. Most investment belonged to government investment (local and central), utilities and telecommunications sector.

SIVECO placed first in the software support and installation services market in Romania, with revenue of $15.21 million and 18.0% share in 2008.

According to the analysis quoted, the majority of IT spending in 2008 was for the services support, software and hardware installation, systems integration and applications developed by request (Customized Application).

SIVECO Romania has a market share of 23.1% in segment eTraining solutions and education, and 15.5% in the developed on CAD - Customized Application Suite.
