UNESCO recognizes the quality of teacher training programs developed by SIVECO Romania

Hundreds of thousands of Romanian teachers benefit of training courses for adopting  technology in the educational process


Bucharest, 11th April 2012 -  The Jury of  the prestigious global competition UNESCO - Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers, confirms the exceptional quality of the training programs developed by the company SIVECO for Romanian teachers, nominating them as examples of best practices in improving the teachers’ effectiveness.

 

 

The competition is recognised as a worldwide reference for its contributions for improving the quality of educational process and teachers’ training, through enhancing the usage of technology in education. "This official recognition from UNESCO honors us and support us in our effort to provide the best technological tools to improve education. We consistently and actively promote the excellence in education and  we will continue to be involved in developing and implementing technology for improving education, in countries from Europe, Middle East, North of Africa and CIS countries," said Irina Socol, President and CEO SIVECO Romania.

 

 

Since 2001, through its programms, SIVECO Romania has trained over 200,000 teachers nationwide, in order to develop and improve their IT skills and to adopt technology as complementary tools in the educational process.

 

 

“The reference program implemented by SIVECO for improving the Romanian education system is SEI – The IT-Based Educational System - through which all schools were equipped with computer labs and multimedia educational content. In order to ease the integration of new technology, hundreds of thousands of teachers benefited of IT courses, for, adopting  and using technology as a common tool in the classroom. The program is considered a national success, being recognized as an example of good practice at European level, by specialized organizations” said Florin Ilia, VicePresident,  SIVECO Romania.

The competition Hamdan Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum Prize for Outstanding Practice and Performance in Enhancing the Effectiveness of Teachers, organized by UNESCO, gathers annually hundreds of educational programs worldwide that are designed to reassure teachers a central role in the educational process and to support sustainable development of the entire society.
