SIVECO Romania supports Civic conferences initiated by the Romanian Association of Debate, Oratory and Rhetoric.

Bucharest, 22 May 2009 - At the two conferences organized by the Civic Association of Romanian Association of Debate, Oratory and Rhetoric (ARDOR), the National College "IL. Caragiale" of Bucharest, on May 23, and the National College "Mihai Bravu" in Slobozia, on May 28, high school are invited to express their opinions about two hot topics in the Romanian society: "Do you think should be introduced a special legislation for commercial television for having educational responsibilities to the public?"and "Do new media give more power to the modern citizen?"

Debates about Twitter, blogs , the impact of mass media in our society, socialization, solidarity will be moderated by journalists Dan Gelu Trandafir (Bucharest), Cristian Ghinea and Lucian Popescu (Slobozia).

The project "On the proper use of democracy" is addressed to young people who can express their views on democracy and participation in society as active citizens. SIVECO Romania, along with other organizations that share the same civic values, has expressed support to the project since its launch, and this investment trust has been honored with brio by ARDOR.

"We're excited that we had the opportunity to take part in a so special project, involving young people in hot topics, giving them the opportunity to learn the "rules" of dialogue from civil society leaders (philosophers, journalists, political scientists or historians), giving them the opportunity to finally understand how younger generation thinks, and taking into account their value system," said Anca Crahmaliuc, Marketing & Communication Manager in the SIVECO Romania .

The project "On the proper use of democracy" has examined topics such as nationalism, discrimination, participation in elections, solidarity, civil disobedience, regionalization, "zero tolerance" measures, majority rule. Thousands of high school having the opportunity to say point of view in the events organized in cities across the country - Bucharest, Galati, Focsani, Gheorghe, Pitesti, Cluj, Turda, Brasov, Bacau, Timisoara, Ramnicu Valcea, Ploiesti and Targoviste.
