SIVECO Romania has implemented the New Computerized Transit System of the Macedonian Customs Administration

Customs Administration of Macedonia today announced the official start of the New Computerized Transit System (NCTS) on national level

This system, which is designed according to European Union standards, is offering new possibilities in customs procedures regarding the use of advanced computer systems, the use of electronic transit declaration, applying the formalities only by exchanging emails, electronic data processing.

NCTS will contribute to more effective implementation of the formalities, unlike the current system based on the use of paper, and will initially be used to implement the transit procedure at the national level, the movement of goods between two places within the Republic of Macedonia

“Its use at the national level means initial and transitional phase towards a considerable accession of the Common transit system. In the next phase, through its connection with the EU systems, will be enabled smooth movement of commodity shipments to and from the Union, without customs formalities at border crossings outside the EU , and the additional benefit in accelerating and facilitating the exchange of goods with the most significant economic partners the Republic of Macedonia ", announced Customs.

The system allows data exchange between Customs and the Traders, through electronic connectivity from any point in the state. The submission of the declaration, exclusively electronically, is done through the website of the Customs which is convenience for operators of small-scale operations, but also to operators with large scale operations which can connect through their own software solution.
