A. Projects through the Sectoral Operational Program Human Resources Development (POS DRU)

1. Rural Manager

The overall objective of the Rural-Manager project is the development of knowledge, skills and modern entrepreneurial and managerial behavior for the small or future entrepreneurs, especially youngsters, from rural areas who can generate local development and employment opportunities by developing their own businesses in the North –East, Center and South -East regions.

Objectives

  • Granting education and customized managerial advising to a number of 300 entrepreneurs in order to start a business or developing the existing business
  • Developing the managerial culture and motivation to start a process of entrepreneurial education of 900 managers, for small or future entrepreneurs in rural areas
  • Carrying out a quantitative and qualitative research on the training and consultancy needs of entrepreneurs and of those wishing to start a business, from rural areas
  • Providing services of training, counseling and support for 200 managers, small or future entrepreneurs

Project description

Rural Manager has motivated 900 small or future entrepreneurs in rural areas, especially youth, to learn to understand that success is linked to the level of managerial education.

Results

  • Development of the project‘s portal www.ruralmanager.ro (web site, e-learning platform, consultancy and networking and platform e-business platform for the target group) which constituted as a center for information resources, accessible both to the 900 managers, small or potential entrepreneurs involved in the project, as well as the large audience
  • 1,576 direct project beneficiaries
  • 942 questionnaires applied, 30 interviews, 3 focus-groups and 3 brainstorming sessions
  • the Rural Entrepreneurship Brochure, printed in 1,000 copies
  • customized consultancy for 395 persons
  • 401 learners of the „Program for managerial training and consultancy Rural-Manager”
  • 11 training packages, including 627 learning moments and 15 online tests

2. Equal opportunities for successful careers

The project’s general objective is the increase of women’s employment opportunities and equal access to employment by raising awareness on the principle of equal opportunities at private enterprises level .

Project description

The project’s objectives and the activities to be implemented have been established and conceived starting from the current situation of women on the labor market and from the objectives set by the authorities aiming at equal opportunities.

Results

  • Producing a guide regarding integration of equal opportunities into companies’ policies, printed and distributed in 5,000 copies
  • Uploading the guide in digital format on the project’s portal
  • Performing 30 interviews with successful women
  • Publishing the success stories in a book with 4,000 copies
  • Producing a TV spot to promote women’s success stories targeting an audience of 300,000 women from rural and urban areas
  • Granting nationally recognized certificates for at least 90% of the 900 women selected, participating in the training programs in the project

3. Educational process optimized from the perspective of knowledge society competences

The overall project objective is to increase access to quality education by means of educational inter- and trans-disciplinary undertakings focused on developing skills required by modern society and through optimizing the educational process by using IT&C, including multi-touch technologies.

Project description

By implementing the multi-touch technology in the process of learning, teaching, evaluation and examination, the project brings added value through the innovative method proposed for increasing the quality of educational processes.

Results

  • 8,600 teachers trained on the integrated curriculum and 35,000 pupils beneficiaries of the optional training up to the project’s finish
  • Practical applications of the theoretical trans-disciplinary content consisting in didactical trans-disciplinary projects, a didactical trans-disciplinary project for each of the scientific and humanistic fields
  • 1,410 persons with evaluation, examination and curriculum responsibilities, trained at national level (one person from each high school)
  • 8 high schools (a high school from each development region) - winners of the multi-touch laboratories following the contest for trans-disciplinary didactical projects and involved in the development and implementation of trans-disciplinary didactical projects, based on multi-touch technology

4. Modalities for career strengthening in the knowledge based society in the region Bucuresti-Ilfov

The general project objective is to train the teaching staff from pre-universitary education system through the course “Intel Teach – Training in the knowledge society”, in order to promote lifelong professional training and improving the qualification of human resources in the education field.

Project description

The teachers trained in the project have developed both their pedagogical and technological skills, but also emotional intelligence, which is very important in the teaching process.

5. The teacher – creator of educational software

Project description

The project contributes to elaborating and implementing of a lifelong training for teaching staff from pre-university education, in order to develop the competences regarding carrying out their own educational software applications and improving the ability to use interactive teaching – learning methods.

  • Elaboration and certification of a longlife training dedicated to teaching staff from pre-universitary education
  • Creating, multiplying and distributing the course support in 1,500 copies

  • Certifying minimum 80% of the total number of the trained persons

B. Projects through the Sectoral Operational Program for Increasing the Economic Competitiveness (POS CEE)

1. Integrated information system at the level of Dâmboviţa County

The project general objective was to create an integrated information system that would make available online public services for citizens, business environment, subordinated institutions and local public administrations and which would lead to increasing the efficiency of internal activities contributing to carrying out the respective services.  

Project description

The Integrated Information System implemented through the project has the following components: the Portal Subsystem, which represents the citizen’s point of access to online services, the Information Subsystem for Documents and Workflows Management, which streamlines the documents flow within the County Council (CJ) Dâmboviţa, the Information Subsystem for Management, providing analysis indicators for the management of CJ Dâmboviţa, the Subsystem for the Electronic Payments, the Subsystem for Electronic Signature, the Infrastructure (servers, databases, work stations).

Results

By implementing this project, the foundation was laid for the development of the Integrated Information System which will optimize the city Council’s activity, while providing higher quality public services.

2. Increase performance in research - development through the electronic management of documents and workflows (”Constantin Brâncuşi” Univeristy in Târgu-Jiu)

The project's overall objective was to streamline the documents flow, to facilitate access to information and to efficiently manage the information avalanche within the organization.

Objectives

  • Implement a unique collaborative platform within the university's research / development projects
  • Assure operational management of the information flow
  • Consolidation of the information flow: all documents are stored electronically in a single, easy to access "library”
  • Creation of an electronic work procedure
  • Implementation of an advanced system for information security based on strict access rights
  • Professional training for University’s staff in order to properly operate the developed IT system

Project description

The project aimed at increasing the technical capacity for recording, processing and transmitting information regarding the research/ development projects, assuring fast data and information exchange between University’s staff, to improve the research/ development process.

Results

Through the project, a common platform to streamline the documents flow, facilitate access to information and protect unauthorized access was successfully created. Communication of information has been improved, at the same times reducing the documents processing costs.

3. Design and implementation of a system documents and workflows management (Dunărea de Jos University, Galaţi)

The project's overall objective was to implement an information system for Documents and Workflows Management within the "Dunărea de Jos" University, in Galaţi, in order to help the research & development process.  

Project description

Through the project's implementation one has envisaged increasing the technical capacity for recording, processing and transmitting the information regarding the research/development projects. Also, the fast exchange of data and information between the University's teaching staff was considered, in order to improve the research and development process.

Results

The implementation of the SIVADOC application has succeeded in an orderly and controlled manner, to assure monitoring, security, circulation and archiving of all the documents from the current activities of the “Dunărea de Jos” University in Galaţi.

4. eAcademie for public servants

Overall objective

Through this project one has aimed at increasing the efficacy and efficiency of the training process of public servants from central and local public administration by implementing an eLearning system.

Objectives

  • Creation of a training system easy to access – by means of which each user will have access to it from the computer he/she is working at
  • Ensuring an uniform and comprehensive understanding of the training subjects
  • Ensuring homogenous training materials - the same training material for a given topic
  • Reducing the time necessary for the teaching /training process per user
  • Decreasing the costs (material and financial) necessary for the teaching / training process
  • Ensuring lifelong access to teaching/ training of all public servants
  • Building an electronic knowledge database that would contain the relevant documents for a public servant
  • Ensuring instruments for automatic evaluation of the trained servants

Project description

The project aimed at increasing the performance of activities specific to public servants, a vital condition for delivering public services in accordance with the European standards in the field, that would meet the needs of all communities in Romania.

Results

The project has succeeded to ensure the necessary support for training and evaluation of the public servants, providing all necessary instruments for the collaboration and communication between trainers and trainees. At the same time, the platform has ensured a safe education environment that has allowed the online training process run within optimal conditions.

5. Increasing the efficiency of medical services provided by the Obstetrics - Gynecology Ploieşti Hospital through implementation of eHealth solution 

The project's overall objective was to increase the economic competitiveness and promotion of the interaction between the Obstetrics-Gynecology Hospital in Ploieşti and the citizens/ external environment, as well as the improvement and full exploitation of the IT&C potential and of the applications within the hospital, to improve the efficiency of the administrative work and to increase the quality of the medical intervention.

  • Recording all relevant data about a patient, including all the successive stages undergone for performing the medical intervention
  • Increasing the quality of the medical intervention

Project description

The solution implemented within the project has included the following components: System for management of the medical data; Pharmacies management system; Laboratory management system; System for management of the hospitalization capacity; Reporting system; financial and material resources management System; Portal for communication with external beneficiaries.

The project’s implementation helped the Obstetrics-Gynecology Hospital in Ploieşti to provide timely, proper information on the following: use of health resources, labor productivity, the degree of coverage and accessibility to various health services.

C. Projects through the Sectoral Operational Program for Environment (POS Environment)

1. Integrated Information System – support for management of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve Authority (ARBDD) in order to improve preservation of ecosystems

Overall objective

Preserve the ecological balance of the biodiversity and its natural resources, as well as implementing measures for improved preservation of the ecosystems, within the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve.

Project description

The project’s implementation has been carried out to answer the following needs: efficiently manage and coordinate the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve, develop and strengthen the institutional capacity of ARBDD, integrate documents and maps from third party institutions, monitor the evolution of the Danube Delta Biosphere Reserve with the aim at improving and maintaining conservation of species and habitats within the reservation.
