The "Robin Hood" orphanage is "home" for 60 young people with ages between 6 and 18. Children have been abandoned by their parents, left temporarily at the center or retrieved by the authorities from broken families.

The project initiated by "Bucharest Old Court Rotary Club" and "Rotary Club of Atlanta, Georgia USA" in partnership with SIVECO Romania aims at encouraging these young people to focus on their education. Without basic knowledge about using computers the chances for success in the information society are almost zero.

Because the funds are scarce and are distributed with priority for food, clothes and housing for the children, equipping an IT lab was just a dream for the residents from "Robin Hood". A dream that became reality with the support of the shelter's representatives that showed great interest in this project.

Thus, the venue for the IT lab was renovated, 6 computers were purchased and connected to the Internet and educational software for K12 students was provided. From now on, the children will have the opportunity to learn how to use a computer, to search information on the Internet and make their homework using the AeL interactive lessons. As part of the same project, the children will participate in training sessions to obtain nationally and internationally recognized certificates for using computers.

But perhaps the biggest challenge that these young people have to face is when they turn 18 and will have to leave the orphanage and find a new place to live and a stable job. The initiative of "Bucharest Old Court Rotary Club" and "Rotary Club of Atlanta, Georgia USA" in partnership with SIVECO Romania, aims at offering a chance to all those children who wish to learn how to use modern technology. In this way, when they turn 18, the young people from "Robin Hood" will have an advantage in finding a job that will allow them to get integrated into the society and become financially independent.
