Dis you know that Romania is exporting IT to the European Union? It is a great satisfaction to acknowledge that Romanian specialists have now the chance to prove their experience in large scale European projects.

We are happy to announce that, we, the team of the greatest Romanian software house, are the ones who have "broken the ice", by winning two projects for providing services for two important organizations belonging to the European Commission:

• CORDIS (The Portal of European Research)
• EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

One thing is sure - it is not in everybody's power to enter such a market, extremely competitive, strict and selective. There are information difficulties to overcome, even trust difficulties, but what does count the most when a company wishes to make this step, are the references it can provide, the consistency of its expertise, recommendations and the strategic partners it has.

CORDIS is the information portal regarding the research and development of the European Union (http://cordis.europa.eu), a free service provided by the EU Publication Office.

The portal attracts over 200,000 visitors per month, most of them from the field of research & development, from companies, political decision makers, support organizations for companies, journalists etc. All together, these users access 7 million pages and download 400 000 documents per month.

The consortium formed by SIVECO Romania, the Italian company Reggiani and the company Artemis of Louxemburg will provide services for software development and maintanance for a period of up to 4 years, within two framework contracts.

EASA is the European Aviation Safety Agency, with headquarters in Germany, responsible for promoting the highest safety standards in the European civil aviation and for environment protection. In partnership with INTRASOFT International, SIVECO Romania will provide this agency with a management system, for the management of documents, records and workflows.

Stefan Morcov, Vice-President within SIVECO Romania, states: "We are deeply honored by our participation in this projects carried out for elite EU organizations, projects that will fall under the strategic direction of placing SIVECO Romania as a first rank player at European level. This is the result of an active involvement in the European IT, from the professional, social and commercial point of view. Our company found itself over the past 5 years in full process of international expansion to countries of Central and Eastern Europe, the European Union, from the area of CSI, Middle and Near East, from North Africa.

We export services and IT systems in the field of health, education, agriculture, customs, financial & banking and we participate in international projects for public institutions from the United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Republic of Moldova".

Large projects, of such a scale, require professional but also financial excellence, consistent expertise, a professional, ambitious team, used to working in projects of caliber.

The Romanian software market has such assets and surely we will hear also this year of new "Romanian success cases" in the European Union area.
